Nothing is better for my soul than a walk, especially with my dog, Bentley. And it has to be a walk somewhere peaceful with nature’s beauty surrounding us. This time it was the shore along Indian Point in St Andrews.
I live an hour inland from my little shop by the Sea in St Andrews so sometimes we bring our camper down to the camp ground at the point for a long weekend. I highly recommend Kiwanis Oceanfront Camping. It’s wonderful! So last Monday, we woke up to a beautiful sunny morning in our camper. Bentley was ready for her morning stroll so we hit the beach across the road from the camp ground. A ten minute pee break turned into an hour and I couldn’t help but snap a few photos as we went along.
Bentley loves to explore and run free
I’d love to get a peak inside this little shanty.
God’s wonders everywhere!
In the distance is Ministers Island, where Sir William Van Horne built his summer house at the turn of the century. It is a fascinating place to visit. When the tide is out you can drive to the island. You can just barely see the bath house at the tip of the point in this photo. This was where the residents and guests would change for a swim in the Atlantic waters. I’m hoping to get to the island this summer and do a blog post all about it.
Until next time,
